Penthesilea was one of the most famous Amazon queens in Greek mythology, known for her exceptional warrior skills and her tragic role in the Trojan War. She was the daughter of Ares, the god of war, and Otrera, an Amazon queen. This divine parentage explained her extraordinary combat abilities and fierce warrior spirit. She ruled the Amazons, the legendary tribe of warrior women who lived in a society without men and were renowned throughout the ancient world for their military prowess.

After the Snowfall

Watercolor meets cut-paper collage. Soft, textured watercolors are layered with cut-paper silhouettes to give each animal and scene crisp definition. The technique adds depth and a handmade charm. Deep black night skies create a dramatic backdrop that makes vibrant hues—icy blues, warm earth tones, and rainbow-like foliage—pop strikingly against the snow. Rich washes of color highlight the wildlife in imaginative yet realistic detail.
