Organ Grinder is a pencil drawing that depicts the classic street performer figure through Lo's distinctive fragmented geometric style. The composition shows a standing figure constructed entirely from interlocking angular shapes, patterns, and textural elements rendered in detailed graphite work. The figure appears to be holding or operating what would be a traditional barrel organ or hurdy-gurdy, suggested through the geometric fragments that form the central portion of the composition. The "organ" itself is built from rectangular and curved shapes, some featuring grid patterns and mechanical-looking elements that evoke the internal workings of such an instrument.
Medium: Pencil and ink on hand-made paper. Dimensions: 19-3/4" X 25-3/4".
Framed 24"X31". Contemporary 1" wood frame, 2" mat and non-reflective, shatterproof acrylic lends the piece a refined, museum-quality presentation. Hand-made in the USA.
