The indigo bunting is a small, vibrant songbird native to North America. During breeding season, males are particularly striking with their brilliant blue plumage that can appear almost electric in sunlight. This deep indigo-blue coloring covers most of their body, though it can look nearly black in poor lighting conditions. Females and non-breeding males are much more subdued, displaying brown and buff coloring with subtle streaking. Hand-made in the USA.

After the Snowfall

Watercolor meets cut-paper collage. Soft, textured watercolors are layered with cut-paper silhouettes to give each animal and scene crisp definition. The technique adds depth and a handmade charm. Deep black night skies create a dramatic backdrop that makes vibrant hues—icy blues, warm earth tones, and rainbow-like foliage—pop strikingly against the snow. Rich washes of color highlight the wildlife in imaginative yet realistic detail.
