Golden Gate

A warm ochre and sienna base fills the surface, brushed loosely to leave subtle streaks and texture. Over this ground, countless black linear marks wind, loop, and intersect handwriting from many voices layered on top of one another. Hints of rust red, burnt orange, and deep brown seep through the network of lines, giving warmth and depth, while occasional pale gray and off-white areas lighten the edges, framing the core. The overlapping marks create rhythm and movement, pulling the eye across shifting pathways. Some loops are bold and sure, others dissolve into smudges or faint gestures, suggesting fragments of thought, fleeting conversations, or architectural traces. Small patches of pure color, especially red and orange bursts, act like anchors amid the intricate web, grounding the viewer.
